What we made happen

After the great success of the completion of the Ritz Carlton Naples Beach Resort Spa, Ray Loperena was appointed as the Owner’s Representative and Senior Project Manager of the new $55M, 300 room, Ritz Carlton Naples Golf Resort. Some of Ray’s responsibilities were assembling the design team, preparing schedules, and preparing the project budget and bid packages, providing GC recommendations to the Owner, value engineering, preparing monthly status reports and coordinating the FF&E purchase orders and installation. Ray provided valuable design information with his architectural background and working on resorts projects in southeast Asia.

Nearing the end of the project, the team was informed that the worldwide Ritz Carlton General Manager’s conference venue was changed to the new resort and that the hotel would have its official opening sooner than the agreed upon project schedule date. With the help of Ritz Carlton, management brought additional operations staff in from various hotels around the world and assisted in setting up the operational systems. The opening was a great success. Measured savings was a 35-day general conditions value $350,000.
