What we made happen
Visual Concepts Entertainment (VCE), developer of the 2K series of sports video games, had outgrown their existing office space. VCE had specific requirements for their new space: produce an atmosphere that stimulated creativity, maintain individual offices for the majority of their employees, construct a professional sound studio, and stay within the TI allowance. VCE chose to relocate to a 60,000 square foot hangar in the up and coming Hamilton Landing campus in Novato, California.
Michelle joined the team to streamline the approval process and move the project forward. The client had missed their deadlines for producing plans to the Landlord; therefore the Landlord was not committed to maintaining VCE’s substantial completion date for Tenant Improvements. VCE did not have an option to stay in their existing space; therefore Michelle developed a strategy to make up for the two months that had been lost. Michelle worked closely with the team to maintain the design intent and budget, while compressing the schedule.
VCE successfully moved into their new offices on time and within budget.
